never for free. They are good dogs, you want to give them to good, genuine people who want them and can afford to pay a fair price for them. It means you have to be more patient, but it is worth holding on for the right people. You don't want to regret giving them away to the first free loaders that come along!
Of course there is always Boxer rescue....but often the are inundated and may even have to put them down if they are too crowded. And you will never know where they went!
I re-homed a German shepherd once, and I did it well, and was pleased with the results.
The advice you have been given is generally good - they must be neutered and vaccinated and chipped, then you know they are safe and not going to be used in puppy farms or fighting. ( you can always include the cost in the fee - and people are more likely to see this as a plus point when buying!)
Advertise widely, but be selective in a short list. Every man and his wife will want a cheap pedigree dog.
Interview and visit both with and without the dogs. ask them where they will exercise the dogs and whether they have children, other cats/dogs....have they had boxers before/ do they have photos? Be nosey. If they want your dogs they will be happy to answer questions. and of course, be prepared to answer theirs. You can always say, 'feel free to contact me anytime....' then you will get news of how they are, even an email and photo!
It takes more work then just dumping them at a rescue pound, but it is worth it in the long run. I wish you luck

First, I know that people will tell you "DON'T GIVE THE DOG AWAY FOR FREE" and give you a million horror stories- labs, animal abusers, dog fighters, etc.. but I have to tell you that I got a purebred lab (w/papers- I never filed them, though) for FREE. He's a great dog, well cared for, VERY LOVED.
You could advertise by saying something like "Rehoming fee negotiable (or waived) for the right family" and then when you meet the right family, tell them that it has been waived.
My advice to you would be this:
1) Ask for references, neighbors, long time friends, ask for 3
2) Visit their home, maybe even more than once!! Make sure that all members of the family are present, including furry ones.
3) Get a vet check- ask their vet about them
4) Ask them to tell you why they want the dog, what experience they have with Boxers, if they own or rent.. what they would do if they can't keep it anymore... like that it be returned to you or whatever.
5) Spay or neuter the adult dog, so they won't continue to get bred, as that's obviously not the intent you have.
Good luck!

I would screen people the same way you would screen puppy buyers and charge a small fee unstead of giving them away free. People who want dogs for illicit purposes usually do not want to pay for them.
For the ones who are slamming you for not wanting the dogs because they are no longer useful to you, it is a sad part of breeding that we as breeders, and/or show people cannot keep all our retired dogs and continue to breed. If so we would have dozens of dogs after a few years. I have had to rehome several of my retired breeders but only because I love them and want what is best for them. I know that is what you are doing as well. It breaks my heart to have to say goodbye to a dog that I have raised and loved since it was a tiny pup.
I hope you find wonderful homes for your dogs.

that doesn't sound too strong to me. right here's some assistance I took off of an internet site about the temperment of a boxer. It says they are strong with little ones, yet when this dogs hasn't ever been round youthful ones, he ought to have a tough time concerning to him. This dogs needs to flow on an universal %. walk. daily psychological and actual exertion is paramount. with out it, the Boxer will develop into extreme strung. This breed calls for a dominant proprietor. preparation could start up youthful and be agency and consistent. the purpose in preparation this dogs is to attain a %. chief prestige. it really is a organic instinct for a dogs to have an order of their %.. when we people stay with dogs, we develop into their %.. the entire %. cooperates below a unmarried chief. strains are patently defined. You and all different people could be more advantageous up in the order than the dogs. it extremely is the in person-friendly words way your courting can be a fulfillment. Meek Boxer proprietors will locate their dogs to develop into obdurate. in the journey that they do no longer take you heavily they are going to be sneaky, annoying, boisterous and puzzling to regulate. teach the Boxer dominating yet another dogs isn't ideal. Any signs and warning signs of dominance should be today corrected with assistance from the proprietors in a peaceful, yet agency, valuable way. wish this facilitates. you are able to opt to the contact a community boxer breeder or rescue team to verify if everybody can grant you with any further perception into this dogs temperment along with your new child.

Definitely look for a boxer rescue group to surrender them to. I think that is your best option, because they really will find great homes for them. If you do not have one nearby or can't find one, put them up on pet finder, but be sure to let people know they are NOT FOR FREE. As others have posted, having an adoption fee will help you find someone who is serious about dog ownership. Good luck.

If I was you I would not advertise my dog for free. Charge some money for them, as there are plenty of people would take a dog for nothing and then decide its not for them and take it to a shelter or worse. Somebody who is willing to pay for a dog at least has to think about it first. You can advertise in local papers.

Try finding a breed specific rescue who will help you with the re homing process..you might have to search around to find one but they are out there for most breeds now.Your dogs can stay with you until you and the rescue find suitable homes .Good luck.

Whatever you do, make sure they are spayed and neutered first, or you might be the start of somebody's puppy mill.
I would contact boxer rescue first, they will screen adopters for you. And don't give them away, people don't value free dogs.

Have you tried phoning the boxer rescue number. Then only people who know how to handle and care for boxers will give your babies a new home.

Spay and neuter them all first. Don't give them away free.. Free always attracts weirdos. Check the news, people take free dogs and they use them to bait their fighting dogs. Free is always a bad idea!
