Latinolifestyle - please, think about what you're claiming! LOL. It's precisely people who say stuff like that keep me far from Christianity.

That is so funny and yet so full of the truth.Catholics get so upset when they aren't thought of as Christians.Well here is a good example of the reason why. "CATHOLIC saint/scholar. Saints many of them were, but not as the Catholic Church perceived them. They were Christian Saints according to the word of God." And the disciples were called Christians first at Antioch" Acts 11:26c.All of these men refused to be bowed down to,prayed to,or worshiped in anyway. When Cornelius bowed to Peter he was quick to tell Cornelius to "Stand Up" for "I myself am also a man" Acts 10:26. These were and still are to those that remain faithful "Christian Saints". But to you who worship idols they are Catholic. Read Leviticus 26:1

Latino L said nothing of himself but used only the word of God.Therefore your arrogance for the word of God speaks loud and clear, and shows your true character.

St Francis Because he taught compassion to all souls including the innocent animals and also mother Theresa because she was not discriminating of other religions. She said." If you are a Christian be a good Christian, if you are a Muslim be a good Muslim and if you are a Hindu be a good Hindu. She understood this universal truth. So did our last Pope who left his body John Paul the II He will probably be elected a saint.

St Bede
Because he was the first great English scholar. Also a decent man - the protoypical moderate englishman. Wrote a bio of St Cuthbert, who had a healing and prophetic ministry .

Yeah - I'll go along with St. Augustine. His "Confessions' is a work all Christians should be required to read.

Second place goes to Mother Teresa of Calcutta, though. A close second!

All Christians are saints!

According to Scripture, however, anyone who is born again by faith in Christ is a saint. Paul wrote to all the saints (Christians) in Rome:

"To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 1:7

Many other verses express the same truth:

"Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;" Ephesians 3:8
"...Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints," Jude 1:14

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:" Ephesians 4:11-12
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?"
Gal. 4:16

St. Bride, because she was a Celtic Goddess (Brighid) before the Catholic church adopted her and gave her a Christian story.
