is it really that importaint... people managed thousands of years without a supermarket, and we can't get enough of these hostile enviroments where you enter and seem to get squished here and there down isles which resemble the green mile, and what you set out for you actually managed to avoid.

I am fairly sure Sir John Sainsbury, has yet to exploit the Irish Republic with his very expensive fare, but what I can tell you is that 'Tesco's' and 'Aldi' and 'Netto' are available in a good few towns and cities, 'Aldi' stores in the UK are more than half as less expensive, as most of the other 'BIG NAME' Stores, and not being a shopper myself my wife asked me to tell you that it may well be true that Aldi stores are cheaper in Ireland, she says to tell you that there are a lot of 'LONDIS' stores in Ireland and 'Aldi' are even better than these, and with a much wider availbility of goods. including homeware clothing footware, and alcohol too all this and more food than you can shake your Euro's at, enjoy your shopping, if you see a man sitting in his car asleep, well, it's me, and my wife is in-store, shopping, I am not allowed to go in those places with her, I always buy the stuff we definitely do not need at home~~~Chuckle!!......Bye..Tony M

doubt it, as far as i know, there are no sainsburys in ROI. Tesco has a few stores there
