I'm a 22 year old registered nurse. I'm independent, smart, funny, and fun-loving. When I'm dating a guy I don't incessantly call him or text him. I'm fine with seeing him every three to four days and I don't mind paying for my own dinner. I'm spontaneous and like trying out new things and meeting new people. I've been told that I'm very attractive and fun to be around. I have all my teeth and don't own 40 cats. I'm not a bad dresser and I love to dance. Is there a reason I don't have a boyfriend? What are guys looking for exactly?

It does not sound like anything is wrong at all. All I can say is that many men your age are intimidated by smart and independent women. You may be running into that issue. All I can suggest is that you be patient and hope for a more mature man your age or date up in age a bit.

>When I'm dating a guy I don't incessantly call him or text him. I'm fine with seeing him every three to four days and I don't mind paying for my own dinner.

That's good, very good.

>I love to dance.

That's not quite so good.

>Is there a reason I don't have a boyfriend?

Maybe you don't try often enough; being shy isn't a very good way to meet interesting people. On the other hand maybe you're just unlucky.

I'm a guy and honestly hate to admit that. Men are weirder than women sometimes. Some men are intimidated by women whom have become more sucessful than they are. Being 22 and a registered nurse is a huge success (congrats). No offense it seems like you are tuting your own horn a little bit, guys like to talk more about themselves than listening to someone talk about their life. By the way i wouldn't recommend getting 40 cats either. Believe it or not guys want a mixture of sexy, slutty, and yet you still need to hold back something to keep the guy interested.

None of what you listed is wrong. Probably that 1 thing you didn't list b/c you're afraid to hear peoples response.

You sound great. But the there's nothing wrong with me attitude can hint at a personality too strong for most. It's great to have confidence. But sometimes showing it all the time is a turn off. May not be your problem but little else to go on here.

If you want to discuss, email me.

Enjoy your freedom, dont worry about finding some one. The more you look the more frustrated you will get. let them come to you. Sometimes guys see a beutiful educated like you and see a serious andassertive person that is capable of seeing through their BS, and get threaten by it. It appears the guys have been going out with want a Piece of a** and not a commitment. You should be glad you have not been caught in any emotional games.

You seem quite sane. But a lot of men are quite silly, and the truth is that it takes time to find a decent one. I think you might not realise that the proportion of idiot males to decent males is about 4 to 1.

So you to be patient or lucky or both, I'm afraid.

I'd ask you out for a dozen oysters and a glass or five of champagne, but I live in Brazil now, alas.

Anyway, good luck.

p.s. a lot of nice men play tennis.

you answred your own question, the cats you been dealoing probably think your not interested or your plate is full already if your as fine as you say you are. most guys fall hard for beatiful women your non-chalant attitude is probably rubbing guys the wrong way. try being more upfront with what your looking for in a relationship.

Based on your description there is no problem. Maybe you just haven't found the right guy yet. Be patient there is no time table. I know it sounds silly but don't worry when you least expect it you will find someone. I know I did. Good luck.
