what if one of these priests decided to become a serial killer too, as long as he said sorry to God before he dies he will be allowed in heaven, but a hard working family man who is an atheist will burn in hell. Does any rational person on planet Earth think there is something not quite right about this???

As difficult as it is to fathom, if they sincerely repent of their sins and seek His forgiveness...then they will (more-than-likely) enter the Kingdom of God. But, that is up to Him to decide.

Even the worst of sins can be forgiven if the sinner truly rebukes his/her ways.

One of the great delussions in the Catholic church is that of confession. Repent and you are saved is what they say.....and so if said is to be believed. Personally I have come to realise the hypocrisy of it all.....have watched someone sin and repent sin and repent sin and repent and would or is still behaving in this way. BUT console with the thought God is no fool........so wonder will he open the gates.......I sincerely hope not,
