This is an excellent verse: And explains A LOT in today's world.
Isaiah 5:20
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

It describes this world as turned upside down, and the world has been at it for so long that people are unaware they are Topsy turvey. And when Jesus comes and turns it right side up.... disequilibrium happens.
The things which are true, and pure and righteous are viewed as harmful and disgusting.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Yes. It is a wicked generation.

Matthew 12:45 - Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

I think that it explains a good deal no matter what generation you are in. Every generation believes they invented all the sins, but that isn't the same. The same stuff that is going on now was going on at the time this verse was written down. I don't think it's so much telling of modern society, but it's telling of humanity in general.

Yes it is and you are absolutely correct.
20Doom to you who call evil good
and good evil,
Who put darkness in place of light
and light in place of darkness,
Who substitute bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter!

Come on, what a load of nonsense. It explains nothing that a person of sound mind should already know! Are you telling me that you need a book to teach you right from wrong, good from evil and sweet from bitter? You already know this!! You are a sentient, sapient and self aware creature. Start acting like one.

No surprise that it is a prophetic book. I would say it was scary, but this just shoes me that the Bible is timeless and God is in control.
