When do they announce them?

Next years stuff is already in production now, and they had everything on display for the public back in the middle of january in Las Vegas at SIA. If you look very hard on the internet it is possible to buy next years snowboards or skis now. I have a friend that bought an 07/08 snowboard in january.

Ski companies come up with models well in advance. Next winters gear had already been produced and you can ski on it now. It is also available to see at the industry trade show in Las Vegas in January. Most models are a continuation from a previous model. Once a ski company finds a good ski dimension and stiffness they will use it for several years and even under different names. (Salomon pocket rocket is now the Salomon foil). If you watched the X games the skiers were already skiing on next year's gear as they get to use it before the general public can.
