Yes you are married but a relationship won't last long. It is better to say the truth then have a torn up relationship that ends in divorce.

I believe from the scriptures I have read that she is indeed married. The Bible also says "Let your Yes be Yes and your No be no."
I would say "lying" only compounds your sin. Then there is the consummation of marriage. Also there was a time when the woman's response was un necessary.
If you did a keyword search on marriage at www.biblegateway.com I think you will get that sense too.

Yes. An agreement is an agreement.
In fact, in a Biblical context, marriages were often arranged. Many women had no choice about saying "I do" whether they meant it or not! They were given in marriage, or even worked for (Jacob worked for Laban in order to marry Rachel.)
Boy, am I glad to live in the 21st century!

In a Biblical sense...don't you remember Leah and Rachel?
How that guy, oh, who was it...Isaac? Somebody.
Somebody had to marry Leah in some bait-and-switch move because the older sister had to get married first.
But he really loved Rachel.
But he was stuck with Leah.
So, yeah, it counts. Legally, in a "Biblical sense", all that, it counts.
Unless you cross your fingers.
Then it totally doesn't count.
Or if it's Opposite Day.
But it has to SAY Opposite Day on the wedding certificate, where the date would usually be written.

Yes you are still considered married, although in a biblical context I believe it is a sin to marry one based on lies and deception.

That is why the bible says not to lie or you will get caught in this sorta thing(it made the 10 commandments). The heart is the lawyer but the mouth is the judge.

no because only your heart can tell the truth. It's called being honest. On the other hand, you did agree to marry so yes technically, you are married.

I don't know about superman but we are a very fickle people. We can love one person one day and not feel we love them 5 years later. If they are going to get married, hopefully they have thought about this a lot. It is a contract before God.
