If the car was legally parked your husband is at fault for hitting a parked car. If the car was not legally parked, it's still a parked car but your husband is not 100% at fault.

Just because you live on a narrow street, doesn't excuse the fact that your husband backed into a car, he is at fault. It appears the other cars are legally parked, whether you think it's right that one homeowner has many cars, or has friends visiting, and their car is parked on the street legally, you have nothing to base your claim on. Did you give your full insurance info, or your home phone number? It is not the responsibility of the people you hit, to come out and check on their car on a daily basis, when they see the note, you'll hear from them, if you know where they live, I'm wondering why you don't knock on the door, and politely state that there was an accident. Narrow street, with legally parked cars, yeah, you two owe.

In all 50 states if you are in reverse and hit something you are at fault. Now if these cars never move you can call your local police Deptand complain as most cities have ordinances about parking a car longer than 24 hrs

they may receive a citation for parking in a no park zone but that has absolutely nothing with whos at fault here. even if a car was parked in the middle of the street you cant just hit it. your husband is 100% at fault for the accident- no if's and or butts

if you look across the street standing in your driveway is their driveway right across from yours? no one is supposed to block an entrance from a driveway. they are violating the law, they cant block other people from parking in front of their houses and this is what it sounds like. 5 cars is too many. i would say atleast 2 cars is enough and they should be in the driveway if possible.

If they dont do anything about it, then just drop it... let them fix it on their own... its not your fault you cant get out of your own driveway...

I know that in my town, once a year we have a parade... and there will be cars parked in front of my driveway... so what I did is I let all the air out of their tires, and then towed them... at there own expense... Now I put trash cans at the end of my driveway, that way if they want in, they have to push my cans out of the way... and if they do that, then all hell will break loose...
thats when I start slashing tires, and busting windows... Cuz if I cant get out of my driveway... Im gonna cause a problem...
