This is why Christians tell the good news because people are lost and seeking and will believe a lie.

Yes, I think that it is entirely possible that he was if not demonically possessed, at least demonically influenced.

No, I think all believers are nuts. Heavens Gate, Branch Dravidian, Scientology, Raelians, Peoples Temple,...
the list never stops and includes even the ones that are considered religions. They all use the same methods of converting the vulnerable.
It is just that, like most long term parasites, the major religions refrain from killing their victims off so quickly.

That cult leader, was not a Christian. I watched some of that on TLC. And that cult leader was not a Christian even though He said he was. Yes, He was demonically possessed. I feel sorry for all those family member's who lost loved one's, not by choice.
