okay so on mtv and stuff on those dating shows people ask how many bf/gf have you had so do they mean forever like those little ones in like 7th grade because there answer is usually like 5-10 and im in high school and ive probably had about 15 not serios ones though

The want to know if your into long term relationships and serious dating. If your answer is 2 or 3, they'll know you want a serious relationship but if you come out and say you've had 10 or more boyfriends, they'll know you don't commit into relationships.

I would count only the ones you spent more than at least a month with. The ones you were with for a week in like grade 7 when all you did was hold hands- that so doesnt count.

it's q question insecure people ask because they have no game and probably feel that the question will open the path way to more personal and intimate conversation
personally I feel the question is the kiss of death on any date
that's a question you ask after you have been dating awhile when time is invested in a relationship

You only really need to tell about the serious relationships where sex was involved. The point to asking that question was supposed to go with "safe sex".
You should know how many sexual partners your lover has been with, and what protection they used.

They're really trying to see how many sexual partners you've probably had. It's a trap, instead of them just asking about the sexual partners they will just ask you how many gf/bf's you've had.

First of all it is none of their **** business, however, if you want to divulge I would filter out those relationships that are in your evaluation are insignificant. Some people want to know if you have been around or not.
