I bought the G5 last summer. I don't use it to it's fullest capabilities.
I've made the following:
Pork chops (overcooked)
Rib eye steaks (overcooked)
Aparagus (overcooked)
Grilled sandwiches (too moist, not crispy)
Fish (fiasco)
Turkey burgers (great)
Bacon and salt pork (yuk)
Scallops (overcooked)
When I cook something in the traditional manner, I know when it is done (color). When I cook it on the GF5, the color doesn't change so I end up overcooking it.

Back when my boyfriend lived in a college dorm (YEARS ago) I would make an entire meal on the Forman Grill, and his roommates were always so amazed. I made a full meal, for all 4 of them, and they would love it when I came over. Grilled veggies, potatoes, and meat- either, chicken, steak or pork chops. Really, you can do anything there. Sometimes I would make sandwiches too. I used two (a little bit of cheating for college cooking) so the veggies and meat both had time to cook!

I cook chicken breasts and pork on the thing, but only in certain conditions. If I'm just cooking for myself, it's raining or snowy or cold outside, I'm in a hurry, or if I'm there's no room on my bigger outdoor grill, I'll use George. I've never cooked a grilled cheese on one, though.

Salmon, burgers, pork chops, hot dogs...
Sandwiches, yes, it's a great way to make grilled cheese.
Hot pockets, frozen burritos, pot stickers...
I've even used it to fry eggs. I've made breakfast using only a george foreman. I guess I didn't want to wash an extra item like a frying pan. lol
