I read in an ebook from www.naturaldiet911.com that high fructose corn syrup can make you fat. But I see it in everything I buy. Should I be worried. I want to be fit again!

high fructose corn syrup in itself (like anything else) doesn't automatically make a person fat. it is, however, a refined and processed sugar substitute (and cheap, so which is why manufacturers use it). Because it's so refined, it's easy to be absorbed by the body, which when ingested often, has a tendency to make one gain weight (just like anything else). it's best to think about it like it's a simple sugar as opposed to a complex carb.

Don't freak out about the contents of food, most stuff these days do have chemicals and junk in them. Use common sense. Don't eat something that has high fructose corn syrup as one of the first ingredient for your dinner. Eat whole grain bread (without corn syrup) and plenty of fresh produce, and you will be on your way to be fit.

I found this article, which gives similar information in magazine articles that I'm not finding on-line. I Yahoo! searched "high fructose corn syrup", the clicked on the suggestion, "dangers of high fructose corn syrup".

It's fake. It's processed. It's chemicals. It's unnatural. I would suggest that you avoid it at all costs. As for whole wheat bread without it, it's not easy. Go for the light, as it's at least lower on the ingredients list. I have paid more for it, but my health, especially the health of my baby (I'm pregnant) is worth the exrtra money.

Yesserie! It's a MAJOR culprit. And you're right, it is in MANY things, it's why we're so fat! (generalization, I know, but it's true)
