Im 17 years of age and I just talked to a Staff Sergeant and told him that I am 17 I have 4 kids 1 of which is my own the other 3 belong to my gf which is 29. He fully understands what is going on with me and he said that when May frame comes around to give him a call and he can work me in to the reserves. Im going to be a senior next year because im in home schooling so have said all of that what are my chances of actually getting in the Marines? This is a child hood goal for me since I can remember I have always wanted to be a Marine and im just wandering how can I study for my ASVAB test?

Congrats and good luck!!! Follow your dream of being a Marine. It is a good life.

I'm not sure about how to study but I'm sure that somebody here can help you out with that.

Also...I'm sure that you will get slack about the age thing...but pay no mind to it. It's your life.

The ASVAB test is just thing you learn during your entire school year from elemantry school to high school. Go to a public library to checked out a book about the asvab test or you could go buy one at a book store.

Last time i check there was a war going on. The marines needs alot of people there taking people left and right there taking people that were in the navy and making them into marines. You shouldn't have any problem getting in. Only problem it's more paperwork on his side. And he is probably too lazy to do it. And second of all dump the 29 year old brod.

if you want to know what to expect on the asvab go to any internet search engine and type in asvab there are alot of sites out there that can tell you what you are looking for. and they usually give practice test's.

You are kinda of young to have a child by a 29 year old. Did you know that is statutory rape? Wow, your gf is not a teacher, is she?
Good luck
