I love photography, and most likely want to major in photography after I graduate. I was just wondering what you think the best places are to take pictures. Usually I just walk around my neigboorhood taking pictures, but I need some new, fresh ideas.

Well, what are your favorite things to photograph?
If people, go someplace where lots of people are.
Animals? Try a zoo or farm.
Landscapes? The countryside or parks.

A good photographer keeps their eyes open at all times for good photo opportunities.
Good luck, maybe some of your photos will someday be my wallpapers!

Well, I don't think there's actually a "best place" but you could try some lighting techniques or different camera shots. For example, you could try cameo lighting. All you have to do is set up a dark room have the subject light and the background dark, and if you want to get a little more into it, if you have a small subject you can try to make it look huge by zooming in if you have a digital camera or move close to the subject with the camera. If you need more help you can contact me and I could give you more help with different angles and camera shots and lighting techniques.

The best place is where ever you are.
There's an old saying, "F/8 and be there."
Most of my images are right from my neighborhood, and the grandchildren. Experiment with your photography. Shoot at different times of day and from different angles. Have fun!

hey artgirl ! i'm an artist with a background in photography & still carry a camera in my car . i often see a setting in my daily travels & my favorite trick is to use my tripod & timer & shoot myself in the image . fun to share with friends & my website . my favorite shots are city scapes , particularly tall buildings , you can get some good angles & perspective . i live at the beach & see others shoot here everyday . i really think what your shooting is more important than where you shoot . good luck ! see my site I shot it ! popclt.com tp.mullin

Maybe walking around your neighbourhood is the best place. Artists need to feel inspired by their surroundings to produce quality work, so if your neighbourhood inspires you then keep it. However, I find that any area of natural beauty is inspirational to me, places like parks and lakes. Good luck!
