I've heard that it is very rare if at all possible.

But remember this: the whole idea of a "monthly" cycle and that it must be right on the mark to the day was thought up by...

... wait for it ...

... a male doctor.

Your body is your body. It doesn't have a calendar, it runs as it runs and that's based on a lot of things including rest, food intake, exercise, water, disease, and just everything!

don't scare me like this lol.. my tubes are tied.. I've read that they can come undone rarely.. but sometimes after quite a few years the tubes can grow new paths and kind of heal themselves, it's not real common, but does happen.. so if your period is missing in action I would say you need to take a pregnancy test, getting pregnant after a tubal ligation is risky because the chances of having an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy are rather high, an ectopic pregnancy can cause your tube to rupture and can be life threatning. if you get a positive pregnancy test you must see your OB/GYN NOW for blood work and an ultrasound. Best of luck to you

highly unlikey hun, just takes a few weeks to get regular periods after being sterilized

If you were using birth control pills and your periods were irregular before you started using birth control pills, you should return to irregular patterns after sterilization.

As women get older, their periods change. How often your period occurs, how long it lasts and the amount of bleeding will vary. As you near menopause (usually in your late 40s to 50s), you can expect to have irregular cycles. This happens whether or not you've had a tubal sterilization procedure.

I have my tubes tied and was told that it was possible that for a short period after having them done that i could fall pregnant.

But not knowing your time frame of having them done i really can't answer your question.

If it has only been a recent thing and you have concerns i would definately book an appointment with your doctor.

Best of luck :)
