What are some tips to help with that ever painful muscle ache when starting a new workout? I started a new type of excersize and for the last 3 days my thigh muscles hurt so bad I wanna cry when I walk around. The pain has finally went away but im afraid if I start with the excersize again it will just hurt again OWWWWW. Any tips to make the pain not so bad would be great THANKS!

Well, your pain is telling you that you pushed too hard the last time you performed your new workout. This time, take it slowly, maybe do a few less reps than suggested. This way, you won't need to decide between staying seated and creeping slowly to the bathroom, the shower, the refrigerator or anywhere else, for that matter.

Well, it may be a new concept, but have you tried stretching? (Sorry, its just most people dont stretch before and then they complain when they pull something. You have to warm up your muscles before telling them they have to work harder than they have been).

If you are building new muscles, as in weight lifting, they will feel sore because they need to repair. If they hurt til you want to cry, you are probably working them out TOO hard (slow down and increase slowly).

Since I dont know what the exercise is, its hard to say what is happening. If you are stretching and all that - you may have pulled something. Listen to your body - learn the difference between good and bad pain. When its a bad pain, stop and rest before its serious.
