You should be breastfeeding when your child needs it or wants it. It can vary with each child and that particular day. I breastfed both my girls past 1yr. And their feeds where different each day. At least a morning feed, lunch feed and night feed and nap times.
But your baby should also be getting water, juice, milk and solid food. Just to get them used to different tastes and textures.
Demand feeding is fine with toddlers. Thats how I did it.
It also helps when they get to that fussy eating stage and you think they are not getting enough vitamins etc. Because they are still breastfeeding you know that your milk is still providing for them all the vitamins and nutrients they need.

Good Luck and just follow your childs needs. They will let you know when they need a feed. And well done for feeding for so long, keep it up :)

I would ask your dr. to be sure, but I would say as you normally have been doing. prob atleast 2-3 times as long as the baby is drinking juice/water also.

at a year, you shouldn't be allowing your velcro baby to be so clingy and demanding...maybe it is time to get this child on a sippy cup!
