Anissa has been my friend and role model for as long as I can remember. Latley though, I have noticed some changes. Aissa has seemed down a lot, irritabele the rest of the time, and very withdrawn. when I try to talk to her, anissa gives abrupt answers. Anissa has also stopped studying, lost weiight, and has dark circles under her eyes. I'm worried theat my friend is exhibiting signs of sucide. but I'm afraid if I approch anissa directly, I might push my friend over the edge

I would talk to her. Point blank. Just do it. Now if you want to do it right, tell it strait from that heart of yours and mix it up with as much humility as you can muster. Stay away from making it seem like a confrontation. Your not there to conflict with her anyways your there to find out the truth and see if theres anything you can do to help her about it. It would help if I knew more of your guys dynamics, but its not good when one friend looks at the other as a role model. It puts a lot of preasure on the one who is the "role model" to the point that it can sometimes seperate a relationship in such a way to leave both parties alienated. Could be thou from the sounds of it you guys would work better as both being each others role models but again I don't know enough about ether one of you to say anything. I doubt she'll kill herself if you talk to her, if she does, it was definetly beyond you to help. So talking is your only course of action, unless you just want to watch her train wreck her life, while you deal with deepseeded issues about negliecting your place as her friend and not doing something about it. Show her some love!!!
