What is the best way to train weave poles in agility?

I am training my puppy and wondering if i should train channel weaves or the noodle.

Start with the poles spread apart and slowly bring them together as your dog gets the weaving part down until you finally have the poles in line. You'll have to lead them through at first but they will get it pretty quick.

lead your dog in and out with the leash, and each time you practice go a little faster, until he learns to do it all by himself, and if it is a young pup, train the noodle first, it is safer and easier to learn
