I have a budget file that I made using Excel, but I need to have it as a PDF file, so I can send it by email. Do I need a plugin? Or there's another way?

Openoffice.org (from http://openoffice.org/ ) can read Excel files and has a PDF export facility (Excel itself doesn't come with such a facility built in).

There are also various products which pretend to be printers but output to a PDF file instead of a sheet of paper (and these will be a rather smaller download then OO.o):

The best way I know how is to have a full version of Adobe Acrobat Professional (I have 7.0). This will allow you to not just read .PDF files but also create them. There are also 3rd party programs that you can purchase to convert files too.

If you have the full version of Acrobat, open it and find where it says to Create PDF from file. Find the excel file you wish to make into a PDF and watch the program do its handy work. Your excel file will converted into a PDF file. Make sure that your excel formatting is the way you want it so it fits within a 8.5X11 sheet. If it doesn't, your PDF will end up extending on another page.

Excell itself can't do it. You have to use another program, or just send the *.xls file through email. Almost everyone has MS Office!

Hi Carlos,

You can send an XLS file in an email.

A DOC file can be converted to a PDF file but an XLS file has more and different formatting.

Just send your file as it is. (XLS)

i've got not placed a chart from Excel into word in a jointly as yet i've got faith in case you replica the chart and then in word use paste or "paste particular" it is going to do nicely. in case you stored the chart as a image report, you should import it as a image.
