When you donate blood, you are losing red blood cells. It takes a while for your body to replace these in the blood stream from the bone marrow. If you were to continue giving blood, your red blood cell count or hematocrit could become low, a condition called anemia. In this situation your blood's ability to carry oxygen to the tissues is compromised. Symptoms would include fatigue and lack of energy, and could even result in fainting.

its like the greedy farmer who had a gold-egg laying chicken
the chicken laid one gold egg every day. The farmer thought if he cut open the chicken, he could get all the gold at once - instead he got nothing
it takes time to rejuvenate the original supply of blood you have. if you just keep on donating - you wil run out of blood and die
if you wait and donate at a pace - you will be able to donate more longer without as much of an effect to your body

This is to allow your body to recover and for you to make more blood.
If you were to donate blood many times in a row without allowing for recovery time, you might become anaemic and particularly deficient of iron. This might impair your ability to make more blood. They don't want to do this (especially as if you were very anaemic you might need to go to a hospital and receive a transfusion!) particularly when they can simply just take a smaller amount of blood and then wait a time for you to recover.

so that your body can produce more. if you just continue to donate blood just like that as in continuously without given your body rest you would just become anaemic
