Don't use too much conditioner. Work in a bit of straightener on the outside surface after you've toweled off. Then flip and brush it over your head. You kinda have to hang your head upside down for this. Blow dry the underside briefly, and flip it back. Brush it out really straight, and use the highest setting on your blowdryer all over the outside to set the straightener. Don't hold it in any one place too long, and don't get your hair all the way dry.
The idea is to make a straight, heavier layer to hold everything down while it airdries. If you just let it airdry, it'll go poofy, but the wind from the blowdrying does the same thing, so you've got to find a halfway point.

You could straighten it or pull it into a high ponytail a pin the accsess hair up that doesn't quite reach into you ponytail. When your hair is put into a high ponytail, it looks nicer when first straightened then pulled up. Hope that helps!

I have the same problem with my hair. I tried many products before i found a product that actually works. I highly suggest using "Sunsilk anti-poof" shampoo and conditioner. It works great on my hair....Hope this helps and works as good on you as it does on me.

Try buying a good conditioner. I use Pantene- smooth and sleek, many professionals hate this brand, but it has always worked for me! It really calms down my hair.
