I think it's happened to all of us at some point in our youths.
What was the reason mommy/daddy/aunty/grandma/etc. forced you to get a new look?
Thought it'd look cute?

ughs. My Mom thought this "bowl cut" was so cute on little girls. It was back in the day of the 'Dorothy Hamel' hairdo, but mine went wrong. Bad, just Bad.

Oh, jeez....When I was 12, I was trying to curl my hair using a curling comb iron, one with teeth instead of just the metal shaft. A chunk near the front wound up getting twisted and stuck on the teeth, and rather than wake my inebriated stepfather or wait for my mom to get home from work, I cut it out! I thought I'd cut low enough for it to not be noticable, but a big chunk was missing! I hid it for weeks by making a side part on the opposite side and clipping it back, but my mom found out and made me cut my hair. Adding insult to injury, the hairdresser cut it crooked!! I had crooked, above the chin hair that was practically brow length on one side and bottom of ear length on the other, and giant glasses! 8th grade was AWFUL! :-D

Yeah, my parents made me keep long hair and when I was a child growing up in Poland in early 80-ties there was no such thing as conditioner- so washing and detangling it was a real pain- til this day I refuse to have my hair past my shoulders.

My worst haircut replaced into easily my personal fault. It replaced into back in kindergarden. i had to look like my best buddy, who had short hair--VERY short hair, so my mom took me to get it shrink. i do not bear in options hating it immediately away, yet I do bear in options being requested to hitch the Boy Scouts & at a eating position a waiter requested me "What do you want to drink little guy?" i have not in any respect had short hair considering that.

When I was like four, my cousin's friend gave me and my sister lice. AHHHHH. I had to get it cut in the ugliest way! Now, I am lice free and have long hair.
