i could help you with the teas, but not the pastys. For the pasties, I would go to a gourmet grocery store and buy them. It will save you a lot of time and I'm sure they'll turn out delicious.

for the teas, you could buy 3 or 4 different teas (from teabags) and offer all those different kinds. make sure you have milk, cream, sugar and other sweeteners on hand becuase everyone likes their tea differently.

Also have nice looking teacups or mugs. have a good time!

Ahh, who needs websites? What a great idea for a tea! Plan on having an English Breakfast or Earl Grey Tea with lemon, cream, and cubed sugar. If your relatives are not into black tea, then Lipton's Red Zinger is a nice alternative. Teas involve little sandwiches and pastries to eat, so consider the following:

1. Egg salad sandwiches, opened face, topped with sliced green olive.
2. Ham salad sandwiches on whole wheat, crusts cut off and cut into quarters
3. Turkey sandwiches on mini -orange muffins with cream cheese mixed with a little orange marmalade or cranberry sauce.
4. Cucumber slices with salmon mousse, topped with creme freche and a dill sprig
5. Mini croissants filled with a mixture of cream cheese, spinach, and diced artichoke hearts
6. Strawberry and Pineapple kabobs with a sour cream, brown sugar and vanilla dipping sauce
7. Brownies, blondies, and shortbread
8. Mini cupcakes with candied violets

Have fun!

I don't know what exactly counts as a pastry but this website has quite a few recipes with detailed instructions and some pictures.

I wish I could give you more specific information, but when in doubt, go to foodnetwork.com and do a search, and of course the best one is ask.com. Good luck, sounds like a blast!!!
