First off, you are underweight for your height but it you feel like you need to lose weight i would suggest short reps of small weights for all over toning. That will make you look smaller without actually being underweight.

If you're 5'9ish and 115-120 I think you're fine. Losing weight might not be healthy if you become thinner. But as to wear you're 14 I'm not sure. The height and weight charts I go by are for adults.

your first mistake is thinking you can make a significant difference in one month, and then just go back to the way you were before.
I have said this before and I will repeat it here. The only way to lose wieght and keep it off is to change your entire lifestyle. You probably spent years puttting on that weight you want to lose, what makes you think you can get rid of it in one month? It is a slow process, because fat is an emergecy energy reserve for your body and it doesn't like to lose it.
First, you are going to have to cut down the number of calories you consume. This is easier than you think. Cut out the junk food, the soft drinks, and all other high calorie foods that have little to no nutrients in them other than sugar.
Second, make a small cut in portion sizes. Study after study has shown that Americans eat more than ever.
Third, eat when you are hungry. Hunger is the body telling you it needs food, and the lack of hunger is signalling that it doesn't. When you eat because it is noon or 6PM even when you aren't hungry, you are taking in calories your body doesn't need.
Finally, get off your ***. Get a gym membership, get on your bike, lace up those running shoes, whatever. A sedentary lifestyle is a huge contributor to weight gain. Change it up if you have to, run one day, lift weights the next, go swimming another, play basketball with some friends the next, go for a long bike ride, etc. Exercise shouldn't have to be work, you can enjoy it.

Join a sport
Hangout with friends and play volleyball, etc.
Run
Walk to places instead of driving
Play DDR.
Eat more healthier
I bet shopping for a long time helps.
Sign up to a gym and work out with a buddy.
But honestly, 115-120 lbs. for a 14 year old is healthy

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

Losing weight is never easy.

If you were older I would give you a neat little diet that helped me to lose an amazing 70lbs in 4 weeks.

Being so young... I would simply suggest a lot more aerobic activity. Running, sports, etc. I wouldn't cut back on food intake, because at that age it could stunt development during some of the most important years of growth.

Motivating ones self is really hard sometimes, especially when you're not yet an adult and you really dont have to.But if you are able to psyche yourself up to the point that you can remain motivated.......First,resist the instinct to eat first thing in the morning,I'm not saying starve yourself, but "throw off your bodys intake schedule,ie,if you normally eat at 0700,then try to eat at 0930 or 0530,keep it random, this is important. Then while your stomach is grumbling due to lack of nourishment,do something rigorous, run, swin, climb, yardwork,,something you can start doing and lose track of time while you are doing it.when the hunger pains go away, then eat....good diet is really important(we all know that)try to stay away from greasy,or fatty foods...this might be hard to do because as a young person, you are probably expected to eat what is put in front of you....also,if its possible,,sauna, jacuzzi, steam room etc..anything that will make you sweat....please dont try to starve yourself,or use stool softeners to do this, you will regret the eating disorder later....you can do it,,it will take perserverance,,but I'm sure you can do it.

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.
