I understand that the maid of honor will go to the top of the steps. Isn't that quite akward that the flower girls and ring bearers go last?

nope they stand right behind the maid of Honor an best man note they should really be in front of them due to order of entrance but they scoot right behind due to they maid of Honor an best man used to sign papers as witnesses and they are the second to last to enter right before you an whom may be walking you down

how it should go is entrance wise
groom an minnister///best man if not escorting maid of honor
mother of bride escorted by best man
mother an father of groom
any Jr brides maids an groomsmen
brides maids an groomsmen
maid of honor an best man
flower girl an ring boy note the dropping of flowers and brides carrying flowers was due to back in the 1500s brides only showered one time a year normally in may most weddings were in June an used flowers to help make them smell nicer and in hopes the flower girl will give one last refreshing smell for the bride an the bride only!!!
then the bride and her father or whom may be escorting her down

My daughters wedding will be in June, the ring bearer and flower girl will walk at the end but right before my daughter. I think its fine that they are last, after all what a great prelude to you coming in?

Well, if you insist on having children in your wedding, be smart and get them in a pew next to their parents as quickly as possible.

Unless they are over the age of 12, they will fuss and fidget up there, ruin the pictures and video, and open up your ceremony to disaster.

I've seen it happen FAR too many times.

Oh- and be sure the ring bearer is wearing SUSPENDERS, not a belt. Yep. have seen that too,

Probably up by the Maid of Honor and Best Man, or by the Bride and Groom, see if you can make the choice where they stand. Congrats and take care.
