Since you posted this in religion...I assume you mean my religious beliefs only.

Nothing. A person can say what ever they want about my religion/personal beliefs and it does not bother me. I am comfortable in those beliefs. I do not try to push them on others, I do not want others pushed on me.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and their beliefs. That is fine with me.

So, I don't get offended. I just tell them to piss off.

I recently accepted Christianity as my belief.

Last week I took my niece to watch "300" and casually mentioned this to a friend, who was a Christian. She told me that I should not teach my niece the wrong things. Huh? Where did that come from? Just because I accepted Christianity doesn't have to mean that I can't watch a movie like 300, right? I feel somewhat disturbed about this comment.

I've been called a fool, stupid, retarded, etc. Nothing I can't shrug off. I don't take it personally, I used to question it all just like the people who do that to me. Knowing what I was and seeing it done to me I find amusing. It's like God uses me to reach out to the people who are just like the way I was. They want proof on the spot, and when you give it to them shrug it off for the time being. They will go back and look at it later when they don't have you watching them, it takes time for some people.

Dont fault them for it, it's a big step for them, they feel like they are giving up everything they think is fun, which isn't true. Misconceptions of being saved are common. They think that if they are christian they have to be perfect. As long as we walk the earth, we are not perfect, christian or not. It's why we need a savior. :)

That I don't know how to love, am a terrible person, immoral, evil, stupid, a waste of human flesh, and a baby and animal killer. Those are probably the worst things people have said about me. I was also called a child molestor and murderer once. Of course none of it's true. The reason I've been accused and called all these things? I practice Daemonolatry.

Many of my "friends" from back then (8-1/2 yrs ago) could not believe me when I informed them of my decision to follow Christ. I was called everything from a hypocrite to a fool and everything in between. That pales in comparison to the time when I was called a fraud by a person I was extremely close to at the time. That cut me deep and took quite a long time to heal.

One poor soul here emailed me that I was "an abomination in the sight of the Lord".

That one takes the prize, but there has also been the run-of-the-mill stuff damning me to "hell", and telling me that I have no right to even discuss the bible. I won't offend you all with some of the terms used to describe me, because many of them have been obscene.

Charming, no?

And what lovely witnessing.

Several things- that I just hate humanity and dont care. On the contrary humanity was what I born into. It has its flaws but it also has its bright spots, mainly the good things God has given us like love, compassion, and beauty. But I do believe humanity is fallen and in need of grace through Jesus.

The worst thing that someone has said is that Jesus is not the only way to heaven. Its so insulting to hear that.

About me specifically?
Well the gist of it was that I couldn't possibly understand science because I believe in God and am a Creationist.

I calmly explained that I was an Old-Earth creationist and proceeded to tell him how the latest in astrophysics lined up with the first chapter of Genesis.

Turns out my science was better than his. (Not saying my science is better than every atheist's, just this particular chowderhead's)

on here, the usual christian tripe about how I'm going to bust hell wide open and how they can't wait to see me burn there.. you know, showing the "christ within" them.
I've been called a satan worshipper, demon mistress (lol I kinda like that one), and other such nonsensical names.
I've been called stupid, an idiot, et al.. none of it bothers me, as I consider the source. If they could spell half the names they call me, I might have a tiny bit of respect for them.
