You can eat the entire cake if you like, but it doesn't matter if you do or not. If the cake was frozen properly, it should not have any freezer burns and should be just as moist as it was the day you froze it.

god i hope you didn't keep the cake for a year and than ate it even putting the thing in the freezer it wouldn't be the same I'm surprised your not sick .
traditionally you are meant to have the top tier RE-MAID (not kept a yr) and eat that or have it as your first child's christening , cause you didn't have a tier in the cake a slice would have done or had a smaller version made of the thing .
If you did keep the cake from your wedding day what about your guests your meant to give a slice to them for luck.

You don't have to eat the whole thing. You can invite family over or your bridal party and celebrate again with memories and stories of the day you got married. You can also have a piece every day until it is gone.MMMMMMM..

From experience the cake is dried out and freezer burnt. Toss it he will never know. I would like to know how this BS tradition got started in the first place.

No, each of your should take a bite and then pitch it. It will taste disgusting, but for sentimental reasons as well as superstisions you each want to take a small bite.

Congrats!
