I know both guys and girls who do this. It's definitely not a guy thing. I think people who do it are the type who like to hear things in their head as they read. They move their lips as they form the words in their heads. It is a natural way to read and it may just be a different syle of reading than your own.

I dont know but my husband moves his lips when he thinks hard too every guy I know does it like they cant work it out with out vocalizing it some how

Not all do. One of my guy friends closes his eyes when he recites something. Another's eye twitches as he reads. Everyone has their little hangups.
