You again?

Try http://www.petfinder.com
or
Toys R Us

I've already linked half a dozen times to the GSD parent club, which has links to breeders, for you. Were the links not working? Is google down? Obviously your computer is working because you keep posting GSD question after question after question, all basically asking the same thing. Are you up to 60 versions of the question yet?

When buying a purebred dog, usually the more inexpensive ones are either puppy milled or backyard bred. A lot of pet store dogs are puppy milled so you need to ask the pet store a lot of questions about where the dogs have come from, who the breeder is etc. and then do your research. You don't want a puppy mill dog as they tend to have a lot of health problems and it's not right to support puppy mills.

You may be able to get a wonderful dog from a backyard breeder, but you must meet both parents and spend some time with the puppy first. Also, if you want to show it, check that it has all the proper requirements.

ANother good option of finding an inexpensive dog is to watch the local animal shelters for the type of dog you want, most will even take your name down.

Good luck

Check at your local animal shelter first - you might be surprised what you find! Next check out some German shepherd rescue sites - I know there is one out there that is an organization seeking homes for German shepherds displaced by Katrina. I'm not sure of the website, but I'm sure you could google it.

If you get to where you want to shell out some money give me a buzz (email) and I'll point you to a reputable breeder. I got my Shepherds from him and my family has for years.

Cheap German Shepherd = poor breeding = poor temperament and bad hips. You get what you pay for.

Try a german sheperd rescue organization - you can find them on the internet and see if there's one in your area.
