I saw a video of this, what I got from it was that the beer had been sitting in a freezer or a very cold refrigerator for a while and all you do is tap the beer on the surface of a table or counter and the jolt will cause the beer to somehow freeze right in front of your eyes. I think the video is on ebaumsworld.com

The quickest way to get beer cold enough to drink is placing in a cooler with 1/2 cold water and 1/2 ice. They tested every way possible on Myth Busters and this is the quickest by far.

They had this topic on Mythbusters. The best way to drop the temp of a beer is to put the can/bottle in a bowl with ice and salt.

Like a whole bottle/can? Liquid nitrogen maybe.

A small amount would freeze instantly if you pour it on ice, but it will quickly thaw out again.

Go to "Kill some time.com". They've got 2 or 3 videos that shows a dude doing that with a Corona. What a waste of a good beer!

Put the beer into a plastic bag.
Immerse the plastic bag into liquid Nitrogen for a FEW SECONDS.
Extract the solid baggy from the liquid nitrogen.

(Don't touch your tongue to it, dumb or dummber)

You could drop the bottle in a bucket of liquid nitrogen...but then it could also explode.
