If you want to lose weight just for the occasion you can always consult the many quick diets out there, mostly called the LBD diet (Little Black Dress diet). These diets work over a short period of time to help you lose water weight. You should not do this over a long period of time though since that's dangerous.
If you are planning on losing weight as a permanent thing then just eat healthy foods, restrict things like junk food and do regular exercise, more than what you are doing now.

your first mistake is thinking you can make a significant difference in one month, and then just go back to the way you were before.
I have said this before and I will repeat it here. The only way to lose wieght and keep it off is to change your entire lifestyle. You probably spent years puttting on that weight you want to lose, what makes you think you can get rid of it in one month? It is a slow process, because fat is an emergecy energy reserve for your body and it doesn't like to lose it.
First, you are going to have to cut down the number of calories you consume. This is easier than you think. Cut out the junk food, the soft drinks, and all other high calorie foods that have little to no nutrients in them other than sugar.
Second, make a small cut in portion sizes. Study after study has shown that Americans eat more than ever.
Third, eat when you are hungry. Hunger is the body telling you it needs food, and the lack of hunger is signalling that it doesn't. When you eat because it is noon or 6PM even when you aren't hungry, you are taking in calories your body doesn't need.
Finally, get off your ***. Get a gym membership, get on your bike, lace up those running shoes, whatever. A sedentary lifestyle is a huge contributor to weight gain. Change it up if you have to, run one day, lift weights the next, go swimming another, play basketball with some friends the next, go for a long bike ride, etc. Exercise shouldn't have to be work, you can enjoy it.

its great that you want to start getting into a healthier lifestyle, and you have a couple of great ideas for getting into shape! some excellent food choices - you mentioned fruit, vegetables, and water - definitely help get you back in shape. but don't avoid the other foods you need, like carbs for energy to do all that exercise! but don't overload, you need just the right amount which depends on your age, height, etc. and speaking of exercise, be careful about that too. don't start out too strenuous, because then you could pull muscles, get frustrated and give up entirely which wouldn't help. just take it one day at a time..eat the correct PORTION sizes - very important! - of healthy foods from the different food groups to get a variety of nutrients and health benefits, exercise in a way that you enjoy so that its more fun and still beneficial for your body, DONT TRY ANY CRAZY FAD DIETS OR PILLS that isn't the way to go! just stick to a healthy lifestyle-not just until 4/20, but for life!
and i dont know how much weight your planning to lose or your current weight now, but you could be setting an unrealistic goal for yourself to lose alot of pounds in just a month, so dont be disappointed if these tips dont help you out immediately. just stick with it and don't give up - follow this advice and you'll be well on your way to getting in shape!

well I wish you would of told me how much you wanted to lose but okay, a simple question with a complex answer. Okay so just sticking to fruits, vegtables, and by food with protein I assume you must mean meat, I would say the safest amount you could loser per week would be 5 lbs, anymore and you risk losing muscle mass. I would encourage you as a body builder and former hard gainer to lift weight adding just one pound of muscle can burn 300-400 more calories per day. I'm not saying you have to lift heavy weights, but you diffently want to lift light weights with high reps to maintain musclemass. Add a cardio regement such as walking or biking along with one gallon of water a day and you'll be 20 pounds lighter by 4/20. If you have to you can take a fat burner I recommend either Lipo-6 and Fyre, if you have any questions visit www.bodybuilding.com these guys all 43,845 including myself love to answer questions from fatloss to muscle mass. Hope this helps.

If you would just cut out most of the bad carbs ( starch ) and stick with fruits, veggies and some meats with lean protein ( fish, lean cuts of beef ) then you are essentially eating a normal, healthy diet.
I went on South Brach Diet about a year and a half ago. The first 2 weeks are the most grueling as you are ridding your body of the cravings for the bad carbs...breads, potatoes and so on. You also have to cut out veggies high in the glycemic index ( carrots, beets ) and all fruits for the first 2 weeks. Gradually after the first 2 weeks you can introduce fruits and whole grain breads and pastas back into your diet.
I have learned on my own, with exercise and a balanced diet, you don't need to buy into one of the fad diets.
I am no medical expert, but cutting down on the carbs ( READ LABELS! Alot of foods you think are good for you have high fructose corn syrup in their ingredients) watching veggies that are high in glycemic content ( especially carrots) and eating lean meats and pultry along with water, decaf tea or coffee can be an ok way to eat. Good thing is you may continue on with your good eating habits after you lose your intended weight goal.
My best advice is cut out the crap and by that I mean..basically any processed foods. Stick with fresh veggies and fruits if you can...I have learned eating healthy is usually more expensive! LOL Cut out the potatoes, breads, pastas or at least don't overindulge on these foods. If you must have them, then buy the whole grain or whole wheat...but remember read the label...alot of the so called " healthy breads" have high fructose corn syrup in them. NAture's Own makes a good No Sugar Added bread which is truly whole wheat. There are alot of good whole wheat/grain pastas out there as well.
Good luck and please don't starve yourself. If your friends are true, they will love you as you are. If you are doing this for yourself and your overall better health then I commend you and good luck! If you need support,,,,please email me!

A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week.
It sounds like you have a good plan--just be sure to eat healthy and keep track of your calories! Don't take pills/tablets and don't starve yourself--that won't work!!
Good luck!

Don't forget, some vegetables have a high quantity of sugar in them. Carotts, peas, sweet potatoes (kumera), and yams.
Good luck.
