i want to adopt a dog how do i go about doing so??

Start with your local shelter or rescues please. Make sure you find out what all vetting has been done, if any. Most times it is a good idea to take your new friend to a vet right off and make sure all is well. Look for a kill shelter if you really want to save a life. See if they let you take the dog out and walk and spend time with at the facility.
Let your heart be your guide in selection. You'll know if it is the right dog for you.

Go to www.petfinder.com and type in your zip code. There'll be a list of local shelters, if you see an animal you like, just go ahead and call them. They'll ask you to fill out an adoption form, and probably an interview as well.

why not rescue a greyhound there quiet DONT need lots of excersise faithfull like children dont malt just keep them on a lead as they like to chasse things

you can go to your local shelter "animal" or look in the newspapper or even go on the internet www.petfinder.com or www.puppyfind.com try it but you should go to the humane society first
