Its my yorkies birthday today, i was just wondering if it is safe to feed him a nonfrosted cupcake(duncan hines)? I am very strict with him about eating table food, he never does and hes not over weight and healthy. But since its a special occasion i thought letting him eat a cupcake might not do any harm since its only once. Its a stawberry flavored cake.

I have never had a problem with that with my dog. I have known people who's dogs lick oil and anitfreeze off the garage floor and survived a good 17 or 18 years. Just make sure portion size is correct and your lil pup should be fine.

Yes it is fine. Even if you put frosting on it it wouldn't cause a problem, as long as its not chocolate because cocoa is poisonous to dogs. I do that for my dog every year and I put a candle on it and she'll blow it out it's really cute. Just make sure that you don't give him too much because it can hurt his tummy. Even if your worried, I asked my vet when it was my dogs first birthday because I was worried and she said that she even does it for her dog.

i would not recommend it. However it does not have to be the whole cup cake you can probably give him 1/4 of the cup cake. The less sugar it has the better, remember you want your dog to live for as long as it can.
