Go to your local animal shelter, they have many large dogs looking for a home. If you get a puppy, you won't know it's temperament and energy level once it grows up. At an animal shelter, just ask for a dog with temperaments, traits, and energy levels that you prefer. They're sure to have a match for you.
The best thing is, you'll be helping a life!

I think any big dog would work as long as you make sure it is taken for walks / runs to get exercise. I hope you don't plan on getting the dog and just leaving it alone in the yard. Your question sorta sounds like it.

A Lab! Depends what type Chocolates are what I like. You could always bring the dog to play catch somewhere else depending on where you live. They also like to go swimming so depending on how much room you have and where you live a Lab should be good (need a lot of running around)

A bull mastiff is a great dog! It's a lil pricey but it's worth it!! I have a male and he is great! They are extremely playful and full of energy and they are great arouund kids! They look big and mean which is great to keepintruders away but they are really sweet dogs! I also like that they aren't typical dogs thet you see everyday. It's a great investment if you want a good dog.

You can get a big dog even with your small space. You will just have commit to walking it daily for exercise.

You should definitely get a golden retriever. I have one and they are the most loyal and playful dog breed I have ever seen.

Whatever kind of dog you choose, please check into adopting rather than getting a new puppy, and unless you plan to be a breeder, please spay or neuter your pet.
There are so many great dogs in shelters with no hope of having a home.
