Forget the color of your skin and just move to the better neighborhood. People care too much about being the same color as their neighbors. In case that sounded too patronizing, I'm Latin American, myself.

I think that this depends a lot on which state and city you are living. I live in CA, in a predominantely white neighborhood with my boyfriend. I am Portuguese and he is Hispanic. Nobody has ever looked twice at us in terms of being a different race. I think it is most important that you feel comfortable. Look at violence and school statistics. What will be best for your children? Best for your wife? Best for you? If you really, really question it, try taking a walk on a Sunday afternoon in your new neighborhood, like you already live there. See how people respond. If you feel scrutinized, or like something might not work, then follow your gut. It is truly about what makes you happiest, good luck!!

First of all you could move into a 90% percent hispanic neighborhood that is all white. So I guess southern Brazil, Chile or Argentina or even maybe Guadalajara on the west side. Or even Medellin Colombia

The environment and schools are much better in predominately white neighborhoods. However, prepare to become actively involved in your child's education. I've lived in and attended schools in predominately white neighborhoods all my life. I can tell you from experience that your children will face a lot of racism. My parents combated this by becoming actively involved in the school environment. It gave the other parents a better impression of us, which eventually influenced their children to befriend me.

You could be happy either place, I would expect. Which people like to do the things you do?
For me, I'm always school driven, and the neighbors sort out fine.
Carribean, in our neighborhood, if you are not active in your children's education, you would be a pariah, and I assure you it has nothing to do with race.

one thing you can do is get to know the background of the people in the area you are going to live before you leave your homeland.
Some poeple would have left without even bothering what neighbours in that are has to say.
I think you should move " con su familia" and live a happy life without worrying what the neighborhood has to say..."Que la vecinidad tienen decir no es importa"

What? Are you afraid? What kind of question is this? Will the whites somehow corrupt your family? Do you want me to tell you what kind of job to get to support your family or what school your kids should go to?
