It's great that you want to do this for yourself! And, you've already made a good choice by saying you're not going to fall for a crazy, unhealthy diet plan--congrats!!
Start by eating healthy. No more junk foods, candies, fast foods, sweets or sodas! Don't forget about those fruits and veggies!
Drink up on water!! Lots of water everyday will help you lose weight!
Next, get active!! Go walking, running, play sports, join a gym, dance around your house, ride a bike, go swimming--anything!! Just get moving!!!
It also helps to keep a journal of what you eat, when you eat and how many calories you take in. That way you can look back and make adjustments to your meals as necessary. And, sometimes we go into shock when we actually count up all those calories!
Keep in mind that a healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. You're going to feel so good once you get started.
Set your mind, make some changes and stick to it! It WILL pay off!
Good luck!

The right way is through diet control and exercise. Not using some diet fad, but cutting down slowly on intake, a little at a time. Diest dont work because they trigger the body to try and save more weight for lean times when you stop the diet, causing you to gain even more weight.
Cut back on sweets, and starches more than anything, and slowly go for smaller helpings. This should be done slowly, to avoid feeling hungry all the time.
Walking is a great exercise to use for weight loss. It doesnt have to be fast, or extreme. Just go for a half hour walk or so twice a day. You will start feeling better within a couple of weeks, and will begin to look forward to the walks more and more. Increase the time of the walks from a half hour to 40 minutes after two weeks, then 50 minutes, then an hour for each walk.
I hope this helps.

Well I suggest you get a gym membership and create a routine of what you are going to do. Then go every other day, even at home do situps and push ups and jog around where you live.
