Jesus says this in the book of John: "Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have of My Father." John 10:17-18
Jews are not responsible for Jesus death. Actually, we all are. He died so we could be forgiven and have eternal life with Him. The confusion comes from the fact that there WERE religious Jews who were part of the plot to kill Him. But Jesus made it clear that no one took His life--He gave His life--for all of us.

it was the Roman government that killed Jesus, yet the crowd that had Jews in it kinda like encouraged it
