serious question about god?

Question

why is it that America was screaming bloody murder about the Taliban regiem
for subjugating women, and being too extreme, and basing legislation on some ancient holy book.

doesnt George Bush do all of that?

Oh yes. Dubya doesn't let the twins out of the house (and you KNOW you'd never see the Bush girls drink anything alcoholic), never lets his wife drive a car, and advocates that homosexuals be stoned. He's exactly like the Taliban. Personally I think it's disgusting that there's not a single congressman or senator willing to stand up to the big bully.

Now I have to go put on my burqa and wait for my dad to drive me to the grocery store. Curse this oppressive regime!

First of all, George Bush does NOT subjugate women. If he did, I would have my say about it. Secondly, he is definitly NOT too extreme. He applies what he believes to how he rules the country. If he went against his beliefs, everyone would think he was a hypocrit. Either way he can't please you. Geez. Stop judging him just because he's religious. Just let him believe what he wants. And as far as basing legislation on some "ancient holy book," the Bible is FAR more than some "ancient holy book." The Bible is God's message to us, telling us how to live so that WE might live a better life. God is trying to do us a favor, and you mock him. Congratulations on your first class ticket to hell. :)
