The saga continues...
My ex girlfriend dumped me a month ago; she was exceedingly cruel about it and it was completely unexpected. I wish I could have zero contact with her, but we're co-workers. Anyway, she's taken to talking with her ne b/f on the phone right in front of me. It really feels like she's rubbing my nose in it. Rumor has it that she left me for this guy. Am I the only one who thinks this is mean of her? I never comment openly about it, but it hurts me inside. What's the best attitude to take to insulate myself?

Yes, it is cruel and it is low. It is definitely mean and inconsiderate of her to behave the way she does for you.

The only thing you can do to insulate yourself is to try to keep your distance as much as possible. The other thing you can do is look at the ugly person she is inside which she is now displaying quite openly and realize you are definitely way better off without her. She is cold and petty and you deserve and will have much better.

You may not like this answer...I'd act like it doesn't bother me. I'd also thank someone that I got the chance to get away from a cruel person like her. Yes, its mean of her. People don't like when you act like they aren't important and if you show her that, she might act differently. Hope this makes sense, if not, sorry!

unfortunately you cant change her behavior. What you can do is act like it doesnt matter. (you should never have dipped your pen in company ink!)
