Just give humanity a little more time.
So the question was asked in 1887, humanity figured the answer - didn't we?
A trans-Atlantic team of number-crunchers announced they had built a theoretical structure in 248 dimensions, resolving a 120-year puzzle that could be used to test theories about the structure of the cosmos.
Be confident about the gifts GOD has given humanity - humanity can accomplish many more wonderful things - if we want to.

Oh thanks, now I have to go read all those...
Maybe the numbers were bigger in Bible times and PI was only 3 then.
With numbers shrinking over time, like people getting shorter with age, the value of PI has slowly shifted to be the 3.14.... value we see today. In another 2000 years or so, PI will be about 3.27.....
An alternative explanation is that PI has evolved - from an initial number 1 4.5 billion years ago, to 3 in Bible times, and is now at 3.14.... In another 1000 years it will reach 3.5.
Glad to resolve this for you.

I agree with Bad Liberal. Stop raining on my parade.
Now have a cookie, butterscotch delight.
Besides how long did it take them to write the proof for X^2 + Y^2 = 1??

Goodness me, the bar just keeps getting raised higher and higher in this place.
You realize you're talking to some people here who were quite happy with the idea that a bat was a bird? Is there no part of you that feels guilt about chipping away at these people's innocence...?
[bwuahahahaha!]

Fermat's last theorem has never been proven-ergo using creationist logic mathematics must be fatally flawed. If one part of it is unprovable it all must be wrong or do they only apply that to biology?

LOL.
Good point.
If we were to use the bible as a science book, we'd be beating rocks together trying to make "magic sparks" for fire...

wait.. are you saying that the earth isn't flat and held up by four pillars?
Could this also mean that the sun does NOT revolve around the earth?
Are you trying to shift my paradigm?
Come on.. out with it!

Remember, these are the people that actually believe that according their Bible 1+1+1=1.
For some reason, don't ask me why, I have the feeling they don't care much about math. Like I said, it's just my feeling.
