Ask the bride how she feels. Some brides don't care, others do. They say white is for the bride, but what if the bride isn't wearing white? (red, blue, green are popular colors for brides to wear) If the bride tells you it is okay for you to wear white, then wear white.

HOWEVER, if you don't have the opportunity to ask, don't wear white. It is easier to be on the safe side rather than offend.

nope, it's not a good idea. A wedding is a day for the bride - to feel beautiful and loved and special - most brides dresses are the source of GREAT pride and are always white. A major no no's at a wedding is to show up the bride. Wear a dress of another color.

No usually it is considered rude to wear white to a wedding. White is usually reserved for the bride and only the bride.

However if you were planning on wearing a traditional Hindu dress or sari that was white, I think that would be appropriate because you would be coming in the attire from your own culture.

yes, you can wear white, but defiantly not a really fancy white dress that might resemble the bride's in anyway. I'd go for a nice formal, but not spectacular white dress. Think about it, the groom at weddings is defiantly not the only man wearing black. I'd ask the bride to double check, but I really don't think it will be a problem. - good luck and have fun!

It is customary for the bride to be the only person to wear white. Even though you may not follow traditionally Christian customs I would not recommend wearing white to the wedding- it will probably upset the bride.

I'm sorry, not if she's wearing white. Dont do it. It doesnt matter if you're not a christian. If she is and she's wearing a white gown, you shouldnt wear white as well. She may get offended. Just avoid the confrontation all together and wear a different color.

Yes, it's okay to wear white, as long as it doesn't look like a traditional wedding dress. It might be better to avoid all white or all black, though - a nice pastel color would be preferable.

Not a good idea, all black or all white dresses are frowned upon at weddings. Try a pretty pastel pink or violet or even yellow...but please, respect the bride and dont wear white.

make sure that she isnt wearing white and is okay with it... traditionally only the bride should wear white but if she won't be wearing white which is normal for hindu ceremonies than it should be okay.
