Maryland...
To the ignoramous that made the cow comment I actually live in a suburb of Washington DC. Many people that get their licenses suspended in DC use a friends or a relatives mailing address and get their license in Maryland. Maryland is one of the only states that does not share their information nationally. I have received tickets in NY, PA and VA and none ever show up on my MD license.

No, all states share info. You will need a clearance letter from Alaska to apply in any other state. An occupational license may be issued if you qualify, this allows you to drive to and from work only, and doesn't erase the problem in Alaska.

Not anymore.
All States Drivers License info is shared nationally, and if you do apply for a license from another state, you are going to open a bigger can of worms than what you will want to deal with.
So my best advice, wait till the license suspension is over with, then get your license renewed and then if you want a different state license, move to that state, then apply instead of opening up more legal problems for yourself.

If your license is suspended in another state it is suspended in any state. In most cases. I would set up a time payment plan.

No. You will have to have the Alaskan one set aside before you can get a license in another state. And of course you would have to be a resident of another state to get one anyway.

Maybe 10 or 20 years ago but no longer.
Computers all link up. When you apply your name and data will be cross linked for earlier licenses and you will be asked to explain the situation (or prove that is someone else) before they will issue the new one.
Some one said Maryland.. who knows.. all those cows and such maybe they do (grin).

This was posted by Brandy on Yahoo answer,
"ATTENTION: YES YOU CAN OBTAIN A LEGAL DRIVING LICENSE IN ANOTHER STATE IF YOUR DRIVING PRIVILEGE IS SUSPENDED IN A STATE. I HAD MY LICENS SUSPENDED DUE TO DUI IN CALIFORNIA AND MOVED TO ARIZONA. I WAS ABLE TO OBTAIN A WAIVER FROM CALIFORNIA TO GET MY DL IN ARIZONA. IT IS FORM 1650.(In ca) YOU MUST SHOW PROOF OF OUT OF STATE RESIDENCY AND FILE FORM 1650 TO THE MANDITORY ACTIONS UNIT. ONCE THE WAVOR IS PROCESSED YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET YOUR DL IN THAT STATE. YOU ARE LEGAL TO DRIVE IN THE STATE YOUR SUSPENSION IS STILL PENDING AS LONG AS YOUR OUT OF STATE LICENSE IS VALID AND CLEAR. (Ie. I am suspended in California but have a valid Arizona license. I am legally able to drive in ca) THIS WAS A PROCESS I HAD TO FIGURE OUT ON MY OWN. IT IS NOT ADVERTISED ON ANY FORUMS OR ON THE DMV WEBSITES. HOPE IT HELPS."
May help you
