to wish that there was something similar to death?? Do you have any concept whatsoever how long that time period would feel like? would you also be able to live with yourselves knowing that millions of decent, law abiding, hard working people were burning in hell simply because they didn't believe in god?

No, I would never wish for death. And there is no such place as a burning hell. If you choose not to believe in God, then he will choose to wipe you out of his memory. I will be at peace knowing that the ones that chose not to believe in God are just non existence, knowing that are not in any pain.

What a silly notion. Heaven is a place where passion and curiosity and intellectual knowledge know no boundaries or no end since God is unlimited. I believe man is created in the image of the discoverer and explorer and adventurer and curiosity. Full of love and life and challenge.

Of course this is my human and limited understanding of God and heaven. But I am thankful there is no end God or his kingdom! And to be in a kingdom with the same kind of people with their different talents and understanding! wow!

Heaven is definitely not for the bored at heart and those who think they know it all!. But of course I plan to be there when watching God create the new heaven and new earth also.

Matthew 25:41 says Hell was for originally prepared just for the devil and his angels. "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."

But the devil rejected God and his authority. So goes the way of man who chose to rebel against God also.

For the souls who are currently in heaven, there is too much joy there for them to be aware of time, or of what is happening in hell. That is another example of God's mercy.

But the thought of people burning in hell is exactly why Christians here on earth are so concerned with the people who don't believe. The bible says that all will have the opportunity to choose, and everyone has a free will to make that choice.

Pray to God about your concerns. I'm sure He would be happy to have the opportunity to answer them for you. I don't mean this a sarcastic way. Before I was saved, I was very angry with God. When I spoke to God directly, He sent people into my life who could answer all of my concerns and explain away all my misunderstandings about His will and His love. But He won't violate your free will. You need to invite Him to answer you.

In this question there are other questions like. What's age lasting mean? When will time stop? Also questions of blame and righteousness. And some questions about humanity's view of what's right and wrong.

If something is the truth then you can't stop it from being true by not wanting it to be true. I'm not sure how we will change and in what sort of state our feelings will be. I do believe that we will understand all that has gone on. Which we don't at the moment.

Bottom line is that God is real and he is in charge.

I'm reminded of the time this program on television about centegenarians was on...this woman was celebrating her 105th birthday, and someone said "Who would want to live to be 105 years old. With a smile came his answer..."ask me when I am 104"....
To you I say..."Ask me when I've been in heaven for 999,999,999,999 years. I'll have an answer for you then."
As for people "burning in hell"...by that time, I'm pretty sure they will have been all burned up for some time. Besides, in case you had forgotten, God has promised to wipe all tears from our eyes.
Make you choice now....before it's too late!

It's an interesting question, but it's trying to put the question of immortality into the limited framework that we know. The concept of time won't be relevant; with God, 'a day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day'. So it's useless trying to relate what it will be like to our experience of this life.

As for Hell, it's simply the grave.

1) No, being in God's direct presence in heaven is enough to keep anyone joyful for eternity.

2) We don't know, but it sure isn't going to be boring.

3) They made their choice. They were given many chances to repent and turn to God, but because they did not find it worthy to know God, they have been given over to their sins. These people may have worked hard, but to what gain? God's or theirs? Remember that heaven is given as a gift, not as a debt. God owes us nothing.

The reason why Christians tell people about Jesus is to save them. We don't want anyone to burn in Hell for all eternity. You are acting like we make up the rules, we don't. God does. Maybe you should try asking Him about these kinds of questions, He can give you all the answers you need.

With all the chances to come clean, with all the times they heard and rejected, with all the times they were warned...why would anyone feel sorry for them anymore? Those same people will be responsible for the murders of millions of believers soon. Not all of them are guilty of that last one, but they are guilty of the others. God will not compromise on his stance about sin. He won't allow it where He is. You accept the gift to be made clean or reject it. In the end all sin goes into the lake of fire, you can either be tossed in or spared, it's up to you.
