My husbands cat needs a therapist. The cat howls the most when my husband has just left the house or when it is my husbands bedtime (according to the cat that is). But he also howls when he is lonely, when know one in the house is making noise, when the other cat isn't willing to play, when he is hungry, when he is bored and when he just plain wants to annoy me. Any suggestions on how to shut the cat up with out killing him would be greatly appreciated.

are there any sign of your cat being ill? is he eating/drinking/doing his business normally? If there is anything else unusual, there might be something wrong wtih him - give the vet a call. If there is nothing else wrong it might be his age, my 6 month old kitten howls when he wants attention or playing with (which is about 99% of the time lol).
