Hi! I think it depends on what shes looking at. Is she looking at something close to her or farther away from her? Its called accommodation and her pupils should be larger when looking at things close up and then gradually get smaller as she looks further away. Try getting her to follow your finger from her nose out towards you and watch her pupils. If nothing happens you should take her to the eye doctor

I understand your worry my son is 5 and he has very large pupils also. I never could figure out why his eyes were always red in pictures. His doctor told me that as long as they do dilate that he was fine but I'm now finding on the Internet that it all depends on the doctor. I myself am going to take him to another eye doctor for a second opinion. Once i find out i will get back with you as to what this doctors says

The pupil dilates to let in light as this is needed for her to see properly and for the eye to function, Try sitting her in a bright room and you will see that the pupil becomes smaller so as not to let in too much light as this can damage her lens> Hope this helps!! Don't think you need to be concerned too much but if you still are, then it is better to get medical advice.

what color are her eyes? if they are blue they are like mine. Blue eyes for some weird reasons have bigger pupils than others. It has something to do with the color of blue being such a lighter color than others and light makes them bigger. My pupils are always big and im not on anything. Its weird thing i know but i have had it my whole life.

big pupils can run in families..i found this out when my son was taken to hospital after having a fit, he had recovered but his pupils were stlll large and this is a sign of someone unconscious after a major fit. had several doctors check him as they were confused, they then checked my other son and myself and said it was just a family thing.
