I was dating my current fiance for about 3.5 years before he ever proposed. Everything in our relationship was great except I was sick and tired of waiting for a marriage proposal. I had about convinced myself that it was time to end the relationship to avoid wasting anymore time when it did not appear to be going anywhere. Right about that time, I met someone new. I knew I should end it with boyfriend, but it was right around the holidays. His family lives thousands of miles away, and we already had plans to spend the holidays together. I decided to wait to end the relationship until after that and ended up cheating on my boyfriend with the new guy. I had never cheated on my boyfriend prior to that and regret what I did. I developed feelings for the new guy and soon after, my boyfriend proposed to me. I said "yes" because I do love him and always wanted to marry him. Now I am having doubts because I still have feelings for the new guy, but I also still love my fiance.

You are not ready to get married ... and your fiance deserves better than a cheating bride, no matter what your reasons for justifying it are. How would you like it if the shoe were on the other foot and you found out he had been cheating on you while he was planning to marry you and he'd developed feelings for the other woman? When he told you of his dilemma, would you say, "Oh, that's okay. I totally understand how this could happen and don't worry -- I know you still love me." Somehow, I doubt it. Do everyone involved in this little triangle a favor by taking responsibility for your actions and breaking the engagement now.

Confess. Tell your fiance. He has every right to know that you have cheated on him with another and have feelings for that other person. If you really do love him then you know that you should let him know.

You should either end it or let your fiance know the truth otherwise you will feel guilty if you stay with him.
