Matthew 7:21-23 makes it clear that many who prophesy, cast out devils, and do many wonderful works in Christ's name will be lost but will think they are saved. Christ said they are lost because they did not do "the will of my Father which is in heaven." Verse 21. Those who refuse to obey God will end up believing a lie (2 Thessalonians 2:11, 12) and thus think they are saved when instead they are lost.

What do u think?

I dreamed death came the other night
And Heaven's gate swung wide
An angel with a halo bright
Ushered me inside,

And there to my astonishment
Stood folks I'd judged and labeled
As quite unfit, of little worth
And spiritually disabled.

Indignant words rose to my lips
But never were set free
For every face showed stunned surprise
Noone expected me.

Some will be lost who think they are saved and some who we think will not be saved will be, but many who believe they have
no need of Christ will be lost forever.

Here's one more poem -- strong message -- not for the weak minded or rebellious.

Fools make a mock of sin
Will not believe
It carries such a dagger
In its sleeve

How can it be they say
That such a thing
So full of sweetness
Could e'er have a sting

They know not
That it is the very spell
Of sin
That makes men laugh themselves to Hell.

The poem above is for scoffers and scorners who choose to belittle those who love Christ and serve Him. Jesus said, You are either for me or against me! He didn't leave any gray areas for us. Eternal life or eternal death? Heaven or Hell? Will you scoffers continue to scoff? Repent while there is still time.

I find no joy in speaking to you like this. It would be so much easier if people would just listen to God's voice within them crying out for them to trust Him. I pray God will help you to make the right choice.

Only one life - will soon be past
Only what's done for Christ will last!

The answer is yes.

Scripture states many will say Lord Lord, didn't we cast out demons in your name, etc. and the Lord will say to them, Depart from me you workers of iniquity I don't know you (loosely paraphrased).

You would be surprised who will make it and who will not. It really scares me. I pray I am not one of them.

P.S. I heard that Jeffery Dalmer, the serial killer, accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior while in prison. Then he was murdered in prison. Do you think he made it? I do.

That is why this is very serious how you live your life and what you allow in it.
Christians just want to warn people. Sometimes we get a little zealous because of the urgency but it really is out of love and obedience to God.

2nd Peter 2v 20For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them

Yes. I feel that there are alot of self-righteous people who profess to be Christians, who seem to think that their works are going to get them into Heaven. the problem ive encountered is that "our" works dont bring glory to Gods name, and are usually outside His will. And if "our" works warrant us access to Heaven...then we deserve some of the credit for being there. The problem is, is that without the saving grace of Christ, none of us would make it.

sometimes people spend their time doing things in jesus name and neglect one thing they need a personel relationship with jesus ,the passage that you are speaking of in matthew 7.21 these are unsaved people please note that it was not that they did not know jesus but jesus never knew them , they had works but were not of god because they had no personel time with jesus either in prayer or study because he never knew them he didnt say i used to know you but you backslid he said i never knew you remember satan can duplicate some miracles of jesus so not every one who does these things are saved here are some verses to show our eternal salvation
john 13v1 he loves to the uttermost
john 10v28-30 he purposes to keep us in spite of everything
jude 24 he intends to present us spotless before him
hebrews
7.25 jesus ever lives to make intercession for us to keep us saved
1 corinthians 12v 13 his spirit has placed us in the body of christ
eph 4.30 his spirit has sealed us untill the day of redemption
does this sound like we can be lost always think of one thing if our life is not centred around christ if we are not putting him first in our lives and doing things that are pleasing to him then we are not truly saved ,works are only a fruit of our salvation if we are saved we would want to do these things
2 corinthians 13 v 5 tells us to examine ourselves wether we be in the faith and wether christ be in us its a good sign that you asked this question because it shows you care about your walk many people dont question which means they usually dont care we all go through this stage when you were a non believer you never asked this question it would never cross your mind chat to your pastor and get him to explain to you god bless

Definately. That is why we need to examine our hearts individually. I know of many who go against the Bible, yet still think they are saved by their good or mighty works.

There are many who think they are saved but are not. When you live by the Holy Spirit within you, you know you are saved. Many are like the seeds that fell on shallow soil and sprouted fast but died. (Jesus)

According to the Bible, yes.

There is no such thing as once saved always saved.

If you don't give your heart to Him and don't do His will you definitely will be lost.
