am i wrong to think family should always come first?

I know that Christ should be first in all things. But, if you are so wrapped up into attending church and praying that you do not attend to your family or work, than your family can suffer. I've seen people become new christians and have this strong faith. They attend church and witness but, they weren't home and their child got into a lot of trouble. She was than devistated as to why God would do something like that to a believer. Sometimes hard times just come our way. But we can go on living a life in Christ and have confidence that He guides every step.
If this prayer is said, than your girlfriend would know what situations are not from God and than confront them. This is when religion would come before family. I would hold on to this girl if I were you because she is a praying woman. I would only hope that she has the same kind of love for you.

Religion is a very deep and personal feeling. Don't criticize her on it. Try to understand why she feels that way. When she has her own family and bring them up in a religious way, everybody will be blessed. It is not wrong to feel so strong about religion, but it has to be balanced. Family is very important as well but should support each other in choices made.... whatever it is.

no your not wrong. this is how you feel. dont let her throw her views on you like that its not fair. im not telling you to break up w/ her but.. why stick around a rrelationship thats not gonna go anywhere.. find someone to make you have and SHARE your views with.
